(Die kinder von Georg Martin Ruecker)
(There is no equivalent in English to German umlauted vowels. The closest proximity is to add an e after the vowel in question. That generally has not been done in the US.)

On Oct. 10, 1787, Johann Martin Ruecker & his wife Maria Saloma (Spanz) Ruecker, gave birth to their only child, Georg Martin Ruecker in Neipperg, Germany (Wurtenburg at that time). On Oct. 13, 1813, George married Juliana Catharina Meidinger. They had two children. Of the two, one lived to adulthood. He was J. Frederick Ruecker. Then Juliana died on April, 15th, 1820. In the fall of that same year, on Sept.12th,1820, Georg married again. His second wife was Rosina Barbara Reiner. Her life spanned from April,30, 1797 until April,2,1859. Georg and Rosina had seven children. Johan Gottlieb, John, Rosina, Johanna Sarah(born Feb. 20, 1827), Katherine Christine(born April8,1838), Johann Friedich(21/6/1814-19/7/1886), and Jacob C.(born Oct. 6,1832), who was my great Grandfather. Five of George's children emmigrated to the United States (SE Minnesota) between 1846 and 1884. Johanna and Katharine remained in Neipperg. Katherine Christine (their daughter) married Jakob Friedrich Honnige on May 5, 1865. Some of their descendents live in Neipperg today. Marianne Mueller, and Barbel Manthey can provide good information. The Stadtarchives in Brackenheim are also a good resource. Johanna Sara married Johann Frederich Enderle on Feb. 9, 1860, Descendents are unknown at this time.
Georg died at 74
years of age on

Look who George married in 1813. Same family???
Family information is quite complete for the descendents of J. Frederick, Katherine, and Jacob Rucker (Ruecker). Readers of this page who have knowledge of the other branches, particularly Johanna Sarah, hopefully will feel encouraged to communicate with me at secndstar2right@aol.com.

Many descendents of those original five emmigrating Ruckers live still in SE Minnesota, USA, in and near the city of Oronoco, including Rochester. www.oronoco.com/history0002.asp . Others eventually moved toTucson, Arizona; the greater Seattle/Puget Sound area in Washington State; and the greater Los Angeles area of southern California. Additionally, unique opportunities persuaded some wanderlust kin to make homes in the Louisville, KY area; Virginia Beach, Virginia; St. Louis, Missouri.; Raleigh, North Carolina; the Sacramento valley area of central California: &, and Dixon, Illinois.

Aunt Harriet's 100th Birthday Party
Jan. 21, 2012 Now sometimes it happens when a person reaches their 100th year mark, there are days when the mind is willing, but the body has its own agenda. Such was the case for Harriett's 100th birthday. Her Dr. decided at the last minute that a bit more recouping was necessary before he would let her out into a cold dank winter's Seattle January day to join the gathered clan. But, her cake was cut, her song was sung, her cards were signed, and delivered with cake, and her gathered kin, from far and near, enjoyed a wonderful reunion visit.
